These last few weeks have been an absolute whirlwind of events. Jeff and I are in Philadelphia now, where Jeff has just defended his doctoral dissertation and is officially a PhD! Needless to say, the weeks leading up to this event have been fraught with anxiety and excitement, so much so that I couldn't bring myself to write here for the sheer fact that I thought I'd make you all crazy with my ramblings.
There is so much I need to tell you though, most of which involves the culture shock we've experienced since being back in the US. In a nutshell, a great martini can make your afternoon, and Philadelphians are way happier than I remembered.
